If you're a parent or carer and you're concerned about your child's mental health, the first step is to speak with a professional who knows your family.

Talk to a professional

Speak with your GP, school, or another professional about your concerns.

Discuss a referral

The professional will discuss whether a referral to our service is appropriate.

Give consent

You'll need to give consent for the referral to be made.

We'll be in touch

Once we receive the referral, we'll contact you for an initial screening call.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age range:Children and young people aged 5-17 years
  • Locality:Living within our service area (contact us to check)
  • Not emergency:Not requiring emergency or crisis mental health support
  • Consent:Consent from parent/carer (and young person where appropriate)

Waiting Times

We aim to contact families within 2-4 weeks of receiving a referral, depending on current demand. Waiting times may vary and we'll keep you updated on progress.

Note: We are not an emergency service. For urgent mental health support, please contact NHS 111 or your GP.
